Ryan’s gigs…

My worst news title yet – I was gonna say I’ve got a hat trick of gigs this weekend but swiftly remembered I’m in fact doing 2 on Saturday night not to mention my sports knowledge stems no further than knowing what a hat trick is anyway. Some of you might have spotted I’m down as gig of the week in the Guardian Guide thanks to the kind words of Leonie Cooper so I’ll try and live up to the write up when I drop in to visit the Beat Poetry crew at Gramaphone this Friday. That’s not to say the other 3 aren’t worth checking out but obviously no one’s expecting a mass exodus to Kingston Upon Thames, though if you happen to be in the vicinity I’ll be heading back to my old homestead to catch up with long lost friends Buddy Peace & Seldom Seen Smith at their ever popular Braille barn dance on Thursday, then returning post poetry to cap off The Cocoanut’s alternative freshers week on Saturday night, followed by a dash across town to Bacchus joining the unsung heroes of Souper Saturday for a set of what ever takes my fancy quite frankly.
And just when you thought I’d plastered up enough links there’s a new Trick & Tom podcast for your ears, plus more mixes to come as I’ve just finished a quick selection for Purple Radio for their regular Tracks Of My Tears slot, and I’m behind schedule as usual but poised to slam together a mini mix for Eddy Temple Morris’ Remix show. He asked me for 10 of my favourite tracks of all time quick mixed in 10 minutes, so i told him I’d go for at least 20.

It sounds interesting but I am not sure that I agree with you completely.
