As any seasoned Londoner knows, summer doesn’t officially end til you’ve done the 3 foot skank at Gaz’s Rockin Blues and stood next to a dancing copper at Nottinghill Carnival.

If anyone made it down last year to see me attempt to rock a portion of Portobello Road with a 3 tier teetering deck system and a bag full of skipping records, i’ve been promised Mau Mau’s is a bit better equipped this time round and i’ll be gracing the System twice over the weekend – firstly around midday on the Sunday with a set of strictly original Stoneleigh Mountain Rockers dubs. and then later on Monday going 3 the hardway with JC from Trojan & the infamous Count Skylarkin from 2:30pm onwards.

Mau Mau’s is situated not far south of the westway on Portobello Road and Trojan will be taking it over for the duration of the weekend.
